What’s Up Chevre?! Shalom and welcome back to TWO MINUTE TANYA. The easiest and fastest way to Master the
Definitive Jewish Book of Human Psychology and Personal Transformation. Today in Lesson 2 the Tanya begins to explain
the dichotomy of Human Consciousness. And that in fact we don’t have just one
Soul, but we actually have two souls. Two souls, two distinct aspects of Consciousness. Two separate Identities that each want very
separate things. Two Users running simultaneously on the same
computer. One User, one identity is what is called the
Nefesh HaBehemit, literally Animal Drive. It is the primary energy and lifeforce of
the physical body and is the root of EGO. It is self-centered at its core and primarily
is programmed to seek pleasure and to avoid pain. It is the root of our Negative, Selfish and
destructive traits that stem from the 4 elements. Fire=Anger and Pride
Water=Sensual Pleasure Air=Frivolity and Boasting
Earth=is Laziness and Depression But this Identity isn’t just the source
of all the negative qualities, but also possesses good positive qualities, such as compassion
and benevolence, for it is rooted in what the Mystics call Kelipat Nogah. More about Kelipat Nogah in further lessons. Until them if you have any questions, comments,
